William Berger has written libretti for opera in both Italian and English.  The author of “Wagner Without Fear” and “Verdi with a Vengeance”, he contributes to NPR and lectures extensively on opera.  Mr. Berger previously presented to both WSWDC and the Smithsonian.

Hugh Macdonald is the Avis Blevett Professor of Music at Washington  University in St. Louis.  He hold a Ph.D. from Cambridge University and is a renowned expert and has published extensively on the music of Hector Berlioz
