WAGNER IN DER WILDNIS III:  Siegfried

Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8, 2003

Our third annual week-end in the country for the study and enjoyment of Wagner's ArtRings, Relaxation and Gemuetlichkeit

The West Virginia hills will again provide the inspiration to clear the mind and body for our continuing exploration of Wagner in the new Millennium, this third year concentrating on the third opera in the Ring, Siegfried

Cacapon State Lodge, West Virginia

Outside beautiful Berkeley Springs, West Virginia

Log on to http://www.cacaponresort.com/ for venue information

Favorites from earlier Wildnis experiences, Simon Williams and Jeffrey Swann, return to examine the least well-known opera of the Ring.  Again, we will read the libretto and spend leisurely time in discussing our various Wagner experiences, opinions, and knowledge.  In addition to intellectual stimulation, the Cacapon experience will offer hiking (20 miles of trails), golf, horseback riding, swimming and fishing.  We will be holding all our sessions in the Club Room of the Lodge.

Cost to WSWDC members for the full seminar, 2 nights lodging, 3 meals per day per person is only $285! (no increase from last year)  Non-members are $315.  (It pays to join.)  Members of other Wagner Societies are invited to attend at the WSWDC price.
