We hope you'll join us for the Spring Recital of the American Wagner Project, an afternoon devoted to some of the most promising emerging Wagnerian voices working today.
Presented as part of the Wagner Society of Washington DC’s long-standing commitment to nurturing dramatic singers, the recital features artists who have trained through the American Wagner Project under the guidance of the legendary dramatic singers Luana DeVol and Dolora Zajick.
These recitals have become one of the Society’s most rewarding traditions: an opportunity not only to hear extraordinary young talent, but to support artists at a pivotal moment in their development.
Soprano Heather Hjelle and tenor Matthew Sink will be accompanied by the talented pianist Wei-Han Wu.
Heather Hjelle was featured in an episode of the PBS series Prairie Musicians. Keep up with her via her Facebook page.
Matthew Sink is currently a Resident Artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, the world’s only tuition-free institution solely dedicated to the training of opera soloists. Follow him on Facebook.
Wei-Han Wu is a brilliant musician and Adjunct Coach in Voice at the Peabody Institute.
