Movie Night at the Arts Club!

From German critic, filmmaker, and Wagner enthusiast Axel Brüggermann comes “Global Wagner:  From Bayreuth to the World,” a 97-minute look at the thriving, intensely  serious but often quite amusing, worldwide devotion to “the Master” and  his works. The film travels the world of Wagner afficionados and allows exclusive  insights into the Bayreuth Festival, both onstage and behind-the-scenes. 

The Wagner Journal praised its  skill in "offering us glimpses of how far-flung parts of the world are  responding to the Wagnerian spell. . .and the multifarious problematics  of Wagnerian experience." Featuring Bayreuth Festival Director Katharina Wagner, conductors  Christian Thielemann and Valery Gergeiev, singers Anja Harteros, Catherine Foster, Placido Domingo and Piotr Beczala, directors  Barrie Kosky and Yuval Sharon, and author and music critic Alex Ross.
